« on: November 28, 2011, 08:12:25 pm »
Just on the look out for some parts ie: Itg/twintake
                                                        Miltek sports cat Dp

you get the idea on a mission to try save some money would this work i have found a magnaflow 200cell cat and a for £70 and a decat for £150 now i live quite close to pipewerx could i maybe ask them to add the sports cat to the decat if so this is alot cheaper than a miltek at £600+

maybe just a crazy thought but i thought id ask hence i can buy the other items on my to list.

3" magnaflow cat: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260797914179?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Would you not be better going to speak to Pipewerx directly?

You could always cut open the original DP and gut it for a decat, even cheaper  :happy2:

hmm not sure. there probably is with there being a different turbo and what have you, but someone mentioned a Milly from an Ed30 would fit a standard GTI so not sure... when they reply i'll pose that specific question to them.

i live in Stoke btw, so sounds like this could be arranged fairly easily

I've not had a power run on a dyno since but it definitely feels quicker I expect there would be a performance gain  :driver: as for the size I'm not sure.

it would make SOME difference as you're freeing up the flow, but to get the full effect you need the wider DP

just bear in mind you'll need a cat back to get the full benefit tho. without it you're just moving the most restrictive point further up the system, so there won't be that much of an effect

they haven't gotten back to me yet. i called them and a Chinese guy answered the phone and didn't understand my query. his English wasn't very good. he told me to email their eBay account which i've done but i've been put off a bit.

Don't bother with Toyosports they have all there parts imported from china, and unless you like very poor customer service avoid like the plague. :fighting:

I got mine from Turbo-revs on ebay the guy is much more helpful and the downpipes are better quality than the toyosports one.

If you want one with a cat in there was a manufacturer on Piston-heads selling the much cheaper than Miltek.
I will try and find the link.

Edit
http://www.jaex.co.uk/
Sure it was this place that was offering them custom built to you spec
Around £200 for a de-cat and £300 for a 200cel cat version.
