Wolf Burgers Here!
« on: October 30, 2011, 10:06:54 pm »
Hello all!

My Mk IV Gti went last week and have been to see 4 MK V's over the weekend and just cant make my mind up!

07 plate with leather but 97,000 miles 7 k
05 plate no leather 67,000 not Monza wheels. 7.6k

PLEASE give me some guidance!!!

The above were black which I like because the rear bumper doesnt stand out but I like also white.
Both were 3 doors (People took pis* out of my MK4 for being a 5 door)

Any help would be great

If it was me, I'd choose the higher mileage later plate one, but you really need to be concentrating less on the mileage and more on the condition of the car and if servicing has been followed to requirements and not scrimped on (especially oil changes, brake fluid, etc.)

The 07 did not have a mark on it TBH wheels had slight damage but to be expected.

Whats the forums thoughts on 3 v 5 doors??

I made sure mine was 5 door, got an 05 one, which has some nicer things than the newer, such as the blue tint glass, and no aerial on the roof. (couple of other things but can't remember)
I prefer lower mileage, but realistically as long as it has been looked after and serviced properly it should be able to do that again before breaking.
Have you looked in the for sale section?
You can always fit leather seats afterwards if you should want to.
