Brake pads....OEM vs others....
« on: December 04, 2011, 01:30:08 pm »
Hi all...

due a brake pad change soon and wondering whether i ought to consider another brand and curious what peoples opinions are....

lets say for arguments sake that you could get Pagid, Brakeworld, Mintex, Genuine VW OEM, FBC Greenstuff brake pads all at the same price, which would you go for and which would be the 'best' in terms of braking performance and longevity?

i got my tdi at 124,000 miles, its at 151,000 now and the fronts still aint been changed (still on the original pads that were fitted by dealer at its 108,000 service!) car does mainly motorway but when on 'local' driving its 'sprited' shall we say.

thanks
