Remapped GT170 with DPF removed - Views & Experiences

I have been considering gettin mine mapped and while I'm at it also get the DPF removed. Have heard it makes the car better to drive. Just wanting some opinion and experiences from people who have had this done please. Any issues with the clutch slipping? Shark have said that it will be around 215bhp/450NM so its the clutch I'm mostly worried about.

Im looking at getting mine done. Its only my daily so not worried too much about power increase, its just useless round town and goes all lumpy when DPF get clogged and needs a 20 min blast down motorway to clear it. Hoping this will sort it out. Car done 66k so clutch will probably need to be changed in next 10k anyway.

We do 2-3 dpf deletes a week on the pd170 and power figures are typically 212-215hp and 320ft/lb.

Clutch will be ok as long as torque curve isnt too aggressive, the milltek dpf off pipe is a nice fit. Dont just cut open the dpf and remove insides as this sometimes causes a strange exhaust noise which is quite annoying, cut out the DPF and have a pipe made up.

My customers report that mpg is better, drive is better and feels more eager to pull in higher rpm. Cant think of a downside to it tbh. (apart from higher emissions)

Can you PM me a price please? I was told only JBS can supply miltek pipes? Is it better to get a Miltek (if you can) or just get longlife or pipewerx type place to make me a full system up?

I was under the impression JBS only did miltek pipes. Hence i had my 170 done from them.

If I may ask, what sort of prices are you looking at for a complete DPF delete?
Also, will the higher emisions get you in MOT trouble?

Any Milltek dealer can supply a DPF off pipe. Prices are:

£350 inc vat for milltek DPF pipe
£100 labour to remove old DPF pipe and fit Milltek item
£150 to re-map ECU to delete DPF data
£299 for stg2 Map inc Dyno testing

Total = £899.00 or as a package £789
