Which brake pads?
« on: December 01, 2011, 06:03:37 pm »
well im totally lost on this one.....i just ordered some brembo hp2000 and tried to fit them for my R32 front set up.... they came with two wear sensors, both which were female instead of male!!!! and to top it off the outside pad (opposite one to the piston) comes with some odd clip design, that just isnt right at all....now ive seen the Audi S3 8P OEM pads and they come with only one clip which locates into the piston, however the VW/SEAT pads come with the correct clips that have rectangular holes cut out so that the retaining clip into and hold the pad in place respectively.
Can anyone help me with recommending a really good fast road pad as the brembo are a bit of a cock up ..... DS2500? Mintex M1144? Hawk?

thanks guys

I fitted DS2500's to my Evo and Subaru's, my brother on his Ford Rs,now ST.  I'm buying a pair too, I can't rate them higher.

DS2500s are perennial favourites. the guys over the pond like Hawk HPSs. i'd probably try either of those

ds2500 fine for fast road use, but i believe Dave B and others will tell you no good for repeated heavy trackday use
