Just need to run a lead for my parrot from the control box buried under the head unit to the glovebox, is there a direct no drilling holes route or is it going to get messy?

Cheers,

Mat

Did you have to remove that little fascia that's held on with the one torx screw (below the glovebox on the passenger side) Ste?

Nope, just stuck my hand in the stereo hole and fed the cable straight into the glovebox, super easy :)

I'm looking to come out the glovebox into the interior cabin Lee, it's an amp remote controller cable I want to feed :happy2:

Wondered whether you could get out into the cabin using your route?

Where did you want to get to Pete, the back of the head unit or somewhere else?

Basically fella, I need to go from the from the back of the head unit through the cabin, out past the cabin filter (that side) and down the passenger side of the car. These are audio lines from a line output converter that I need to feed to an amp in the boot.

Assuming I'm okay to send the audio lines that way, what's the best way out past the glove box?

I fitted my MDI interface so had a bit of experience around there but I sent that past the gear gaitor and under that way (to the arm rest).

Not to worry if you didn't see a route out before - I may be clutching at straws

I've fitted several amps in golfs but never in a mk5, basically I usually go from the head unit, go under the glovebox to just in front of the door then drop down under the trim which runs along the sill to the rear of the car as there is normally a bunch of other  bales under there through the rear quarter if a 3 door and you're in the boot.

Yeah, managed it in the end Lee - Ta  :happy2:

It was easier than I remembered and with a metal coat hanger and some gaffer tape, all became clear again  :rolleye:
You're right, it feels easier in a 3 door for some reason.
