RCD510 MDI not reconised

Ive retro fitted the RCD 510 and also the MDI armrest

the mdi armrest wont work

ive gone into the can gateway and there isnt an option to enable media 2E  and the only way i find anything about enabling the MDI is in radio > coding > long coding> mdi. But then it says couldnt be reached.

really stuck for ideas?

what gateway is it?

early gateways don't have the tick box

It probably doesn't support it, but I know of cases where it worked without coding and it didn't work until it was coded. Is the MDI a newer C or D?

In terms of battery drain it could take a day or two. but the hardware and software version  H004 21 is listed as prone to battery drain.

The other faults on the RCD are due to powering up the unit while not in the car, so they should clear

Mdi is a D version.

And I am getting no drain as I've used a multimeter on the battery after left overnight

Any ideas on what I need to do?

When you say not supported does that mean I need to buy a new can gateway off you or re code mine?

you will need a new gate way . eddy nl has them in the for sale section and can precode them for you
