Luke's GTI
« on: December 03, 2011, 09:47:18 pm »
Thought i would start a little project page on my car, bought it a few months ago, its an 05 gti with dsg box, heres what it looked like when i bought it (Sorry for the crap pics!)

The car has been in with SJ Curtis for the past 3 weeks for rust on the arches which was repaired under warranty, went through with no problems what so ever!
Picked the car back up this morning and treated it to its first mod...

A set of valeo leds which i picked up off of dave on here, will get some better pics when its clean! I want to code these on vcds so that the tail light is just the outer ring rather than the ring and centre led's. If this is possible?
I also have some red gti badges, i bought them from ebay and the grill one looks a little different to mine fitment wise, i understand i may have to swap them out with the silver badge? I havent had a good look at it yet but do i need to remove the grill and badge to do this?
Will be looking in to lowering it, only going to go for springs as its maily for looks, but im stuck between eibach 30mm low versions or h&r Low versions? im hoping to put 19" monzas or 19" lm's on it, all depending on how it looks once lowered!
Next thing though is to get a proper rear gti lower valance and get it colour coded except the centre part of it, also the side skirts and front valance colour coded.

Bit of an update, I have had the led's coded so it just has the ring light up,

I also painted the red stripe Porsche Ipanema Blue, I have to get the brakes done but haven't got around to doing that yet

I also got a bargain on a twin take and fitted that today

I will be getting my wheels painted and brakes done so will update soon

:signLOL: I was planning on going to r tech and getting a stage 1 map but the twintake came up so that will have to wait! I was thinking about whether to get an intercooler? I read about the s3 ones but are they better than the forge ones? I only plan on going stage 1 but I say that next year it will probably have an exhaust and hpfp and be stage 2+  :rolleye:
