Ok Im lazy....Talk to me about TT Suspension on a Mk5
« on: December 04, 2011, 05:56:12 pm »
Right purchased some S3 Hubs and lower arms, they've turned up and they're TTRS Items....so good news and bad I guess..

Now I know the Bottom arms are an excellent upgrade but whats the story with the Hubs - can they be used in conjunction with the lower arms on a Mk5 GTI/R32..

Its all off for beadblasting and polishing but was planning on using them on my impending GTI Purchase - Any Good?

Right then Mr I can't be arsed to use the search button!

They do fit the GTi, but I would advise using the tt tie arms and rod ends to get the best thread engagement.  Using the GTi rod ends only leaves around 4 threads.

The tt hubs and arms are better than the s3 versions as they have a lower ball joint point which in turn keeps the wishbone flatter thus improving handling.  The tt wishbones are also camber adjustable.

The console on the wishbone won't fit so you will need to change this for the GTi console (with a superpro bush :)) or add the whiteline walk kit.

Can Cupra hubs be used with TT arms Alex without aditional parts?

To fit the cupra hubs with tt arms you just need the tt ball joints and plates.  The tt console won't fit so you just need the GTi/cupra console or the walk.

Wishbones with ball joints sell for 225 all day long.  I dunno on the hubs.  They need more exposure.  I would say around 250.

That reminds me.  Must send you some dosh.
