Networking Section?
« on: December 05, 2011, 11:26:25 am »
Hi Guys,

Just a thought, with the Country going through tough times is it worth having a section for possible networking? I know in my industry networking really does work so it maybe beneficial to others. I dont mean blantant free advertsing but just an brief intro?
Or is this place where we all go to get away from "work"

When you say "networking" do you mean for sharing services? Sharing contacts?

I'd personally recommenced a Meru solution. Get the controller set up and stacked away then simply plug in an AP anywhere and it will pick up the settings from the controller without and configuration needed............

Oh he means advertising sort of place?

Surely, you could advertise your services in your signature and if someone wanted to contact you, could be done via PM?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

In certain circles if Rich puts "Trombone Expert" he will be inundated with enquiries.  :booty: :booty:

i think this is a great idea. Networking isnt just about "advertising", it is bringing various trades and services into one area, people who are looking for particular services may find it helpful. i know my industry benifits a lot from networking etc and im sure other trades/industries benifit too!

I think it's a great idea mark. Not for me to gain personally as everyone knows what I do but l mean to know what everyone does professionally would
Benefit all.

It would be great for the forum members to support each other and pass on enquiries and recommendations but first you need a place for everyone to see what you do.

If this doesn't work out I guess the next best thing is for us to post up our LinkedIn accounts
