The best camera is the one you`ve got on you at the time.. :)
+1 But even though I have 3 including my phone I never seem to get any spur of the moment pics

But in regards to the Iphone vs DSLR Yes the picture quality on the Iphone or quite a few other phones is now good it still wouldn't replace my SLR. I couldnt picture myself (no pun intended) Standing up on the side of a hill pointing my Iphone at passing aircraft

Unless I can get my hands on one of these

But one thing I have been thinking about lately, would it be possible to develop an app for the Iphone which would allow you full control over the camera e,g shutter speed etc.
