Anyone know TV's
« on: December 06, 2011, 09:40:46 am »
Ok so I'm after a new TV for work, and I am completely clueless when it comes to them so I could do with some help  :happy2:

Basically I want a 42' that will cope with Sky HD but still has to remain as cheap as possible, I don't want any old sh*t just something that is good VFM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated  :happy2:

if its just for sky HD you will only need a hd ready set (720p), thats ok providing you wont mind changing the set in the future, if you want it to last longer look at a full HD set (1080p) although its above your needs now it will last technology wise longer.

for a little extra:

Includes 3d + glasses if you buy into that kind of thing.

Tv for work!!!

We've got a 50" plasma screen in the studio at work

Of the TVs I have at home the Panasonic Viera is by far the best. They're looking pretty cheap at the moment too.

I wouldn't normally go for comet or currys or the likes but its a great deal….probably available form other stores too if you have a search.

Be wary of 3D tv's. There is some chatter on various forums about certain manufactuers television pictures downgrading picture quality when 3D mode is used. As much as 520p/480p apparently.
