CV Joint costs?
« on: December 03, 2011, 08:50:02 am »
Morning gents,

My drivers side CV joint needs replacing. Ive got a mate who owns an independant garage who has quoted me £48 + Vat for the parts and £50 labour.

Does anyone in the know or with similar experience have an idea whether this is a fair price?

Thank you
Jon

paid £250 at an Audi main dealer so yes that seems like a fair price

The cv joint sounds too cheap to be genuine or new, it's likely to be a refurbed unit. I'd probably go for the 10k used item if it is an original part, and save the 30 quid.
