My new motor Mk5 GT TDI 140
« on: December 02, 2011, 10:15:35 am »
Hi all, thought I'd say hello I've just bought my brothers Mk5 GT TDi, loving the comfort and fuel economy.
I previouly had a mk3 Vr6 for the last 6 years but the fuel bills were getting too high, I miss the vr noise thou!

Here's a pic of my car, the wheels are a bit too big for me so I've actually got them on ebay at the moment and it's back to the standard alloys for the winter.

Comments welcome

Cheers

Welcome - looks a nice clean example.

I really like the wheels, suits your car very nicely.  Are they Reps or Genuine?

Do you have any future mods in mind?

Thanks yeah the wheels are replicas, I do like them too I'm just looking to change them so I can put my mark on the car make it more of my own choice.
I prefere a bit more subtle look oem.
I'm planning on ugraging the suspension springs and dampers as it's just lowering springs on it at the moment and it's quite a harsh ride.
The other mod is the de-wiper at the back apart from that quite happy the way it is.
Cheers

Car looks good mate, I've just recently joined aswell & didn't think there would be many Diesel owners. Looks like there's quite a few.

Where in Scotland are you from. Very interested in the wheels.
