You need a Hex-CAN_USB or Micro-CAN for Mk5 platform cars.

Buy from Ross Tech or one of their official resellers not some shady pirateers on ebay.

My Bro in law can get hold of one and uses it quite a bit on his Mk4 4motion, other than fault finding etc is there any cool stuff you can use it for on a Mk5 Gti???

Don't bother with the cheap ebay one's as half the stuff won't work,well worth buying a genuine one if you intend to keep your car!

I bought a £59 one on eBay and it works perfectly.

I am not a business and just needed something for twice a year use and was prepared to take the risk.

Wrong or right thats the way it is.
