RCD 510 AUX plug..?
« on: December 08, 2011, 06:33:03 pm »
Hey guys,

Iv just got an RCD510 unit off eBay, said to be brand new as it was changed before they collected the car.

In the listing it says it has aux in, but all I can see on the unit is the sd card slot.

Is the aux in an addition?

Il wait for this to be confirmed before moaning at them!!

Cheers.

There is no inbuilt AUX in..

I just added one with bits from EddieNL.

You can wire it into the external CD changer plug and activate it in the set up menu

I have an RCD 510 and thought that you could plug the aux via the cd changer pins on the back as per Jedi's comment, as when you click on the media button aux is the third option along the top next to the SD option

I also managed to find the RCD 510 manual online in PDF which I can email to you of that would help  :happy2:

Send EddieNL a message and he will sort it out for you. Will be about £30 for the parts. Works great on mine.
