Caliper refurbishment
robern2:
A quick note about my visit to ‘Not Just Wheels’ / Brake-Caliper-Painting.com last Thursday in Derby.
My thanks to Richard for performing such a great job on my Edition 30 calipers, they really do look fantastic in the new Brembo red colour, looking almost as pretty as my refurbished wheels.
I wont bore people with the science bit about the paint/binding properties as I don’t really know enough, sufficed to say this is far better than most other products on the market and in my opinion well worth the money for those that want to freshen up the look of their calipers without making a dogs dinner of it by tackling it themselves.
* Apologies for the orangey look, some of these were taken at night under the artificial light of Richard's workshop

Looks great! :happy2:
What about the wheels? You had them done? If not they are super-clean! :notworthy:
robern2:
wheels were done at a1 wheels 2 weeks ago.
Horatio:
What colour were youre wheels originally? Dark grey-ish/anthracitey? Thinking about getting mine done after winter. Is that colour a VW Silver of some sort???
robern2:
wheels were original VW colour in standard paint/lacquer which I dont think complimented the paintwork enough.
The new paint in question is a powder coat (much stronger than paint/lacquer) and is silver/chrome. You could ask A1 wheels for details as it's a new edition to the range.
