I removed my hatchpops (skoda struts, Leon ballpins and scirocco bumpers) last winter because it wouldn't open with the cold weather. Then I lost the two scirocco bumpers, so bought two new ones and decided to reinstall everything again last week.
Sadly it doesn't open anymore. Only when I manually opened and closed the hatch (pumping the struts).
But not when I didn't use the hatch for some hours...
How comes? I've tried the scirocco bumpers flat and with one click out.
Temperature is around 50 Fahrenheit in the Netherlands.
How/what can I adjust?
You need to adjust the bumpers out a couple more clicks. Giving the spring in them more travel, more power to pop the tailgate.

Mine are sticking a bit on frosty mornings with these ones, still much better value than OEM though.

Not complaining, even popping it open that wee bit helps with hands full of shopping.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

IMO it's the Skoda struts that are just not quite up to the job, fine in the summer but when it's cold they struggle.

The ebay ones have a slightly more push enabling them to open all weathers

Inflated price probably due to low stock, they are £15 normally

I've tried zero, one and two 'clicks' on the Scirocco bumpers.
With more clicks I think the tailgate isn't going to sit 'flush'.
How many clicks are you talking about? (I'm using the skoda struts, not the eBay ones).
