Well i don't want to work full time , and i want to work as little as possible ! I won't need to work at all really but am thinking along the lines of Driver/Painter/Decorator/Gardener where i can choose to do the job or not. I will have been a Police Officer for 30 years so want something "Nice" to do now.

Driver can be decent.

With what I do they usually require full time though. Get to drive some decent cars (and a load of sh*t ones) but its stress free until im back on site 


If I could do any job I wanted...RAF Pilot. Wish I had figured that out at school and concentrated more.

you could train to be a chauffeur. with a policing background you'd probably be a shoe in. would be much better paid than £1k a month, but it probably wouldn't have the flexibility you're after

My father in law used to do this, turned out pretty much 24hr standby, would work ok as a jobshare maybe?

What training do chauffeurs do , its driving a car well and i can do that very well already after my extensive police training. Would love some of our instructors/drivers to have a go around the top gear track etc and show those that who take the pi*s out of Police how good we really are

From the stories he told me, your Police combat training would be more useful than your driving skills
