Well i don't want to work full time , and i want to work as little as possible ! I won't need to work at all really but am thinking along the lines of Driver/Painter/Decorator/Gardener where i can choose to do the job or not. I will have been a Police Officer for 30 years so want something "Nice" to do now.

Firstly, Congrats on 30 years of hard graft and hell  :congrats: :congrats:

My uncle did his 30 years and went back in to the force, working in recruitment, shame he cant help me get in, been trying for the last 7 years!!

What about pharmacy delivery work, part time hours if wanted, stress free. Two of my old school teachers have done this self employed, bought a van, work two/three days a week. Can do the same for courier companies if you had your own van, work when you want, where you want, pick up jobs through a pda, can easily earn £800 a week.

One of my mates is a self employed courier and contracts out to DHL. he works crazy low hours and earns a mint :xmassmiley:

Or how about starting to learn a trade??? Get yourself to a Plumbing or electrical night school and see if anyone is looking to take on an mature apprentice.

Set yourself up a a re-seller on ebay, all you need is a garage or large spare room and you can easily make a living on ebay (I do  :happy2:).

You have to understand you will be dealing with a lot of numpties and getting asked stupid questions constantly, but with your previosu job you should be used to that  :happy2:

Hours are when you want driven by what you want to earn  :happy2:

I would have thought with your background and experience you could easily get some work from a number of law offices', taking statements etc - but it may not be the 'new' experience you are looking for.

Good luck with whatever you choose :drinking:

Easy when you know where to buy the goods from or have a supplier already.

For me i just need to find a supplier!

Well the time fast approaches where I will be looking for a new job with flexible hours and don't need to make much a month , perhaps £1000 . So the question is What would you do ?

Well i don't want to work full time , and i want to work as little as possible ! I won't need to work at all really but am thinking along the lines of Driver/Painter/Decorator/Gardener where i can choose to do the job or not. do something you enjoy doing?

I dunno why no one else mentioned it seeing as income appears to not be an issue.

As for trades and apprenticeships, not gonna happen, apprentices are getting laid off as it is.

Do what you enjoy doing, except arresting perps perhaps.

Set yourself up as a soletrader and freelance yourself out there.

If you want to set yourself up with a logo and website contact these guys www.logo-logo.co.uk they will sort you out.

To bring this back to the top  :happy2:

I quite like the idea of selling stuff on internet or ebay. The skill would be to find something that will be a long term seller. We all buy all sorts of stuff on the internet but what stuff would you lot suggest to sell ? Thought about something like condoms or sex toys as people do have a phobia about going into a sex shop in the uk. What do you think ?

As i said earlier i don't want to be overun with work :scared:
