Air Con Problems?

Hey guys,

New to the forum so not sure if this has been discussed already. My 07 GTi with dual zone climate control has started making a grinding type noise when the air con is switched on. It works completely fine with the fan on with the "econ" button on but soon as I turn the air con on the noise starts and stops soon as I turn it off.  :confused: Think it might be the compressor but just wondered if anyone else has had the problem before and if they could shine some light on the situation?  :happy2:

I have a compressor in the classifieds, probablyany pages back now but it's very cheap compared to Dealer price

Hope you get to the bottom of the problem  :happy2:
