We run ours 50/50 on either Vpower or Tesco99 and its as rubbish on fuel with both...
Seriously though i've never noticed any difference between the 2 other than the difference to mpg that factors such as journey type, speed and even the weather can cause

Cheers bud, I've run it on v power since I've had it, just had a run of 3 tanks on Tesco fuel to see the difference and that was it, back on v power now

No probs mate
We average around 330 miles a tank on either fuel when doing the daily run and just fill it up wherever is more convenient or depending on whether we need more Vpower club or Tesco clubcard points

Yeah pretty standard engine wise other than a stage 1 Bluefin map, Milltek cat back and a panel filter, goes well enough for me

Quality, mines standard I think? Raced a mk 4 r32 today and he couldn't get away, got me thinking either his was slow or mine is a bit quicker then it should be? Which is good!

I had a 200bhp Mk5 Gti a few years back which was standard and that had no trouble with MK4 R32s, well unless it was raining
The on paper 40Bhp deficit is made up by the lower weight and low down turbo punch of the GTi imo

That might explain it! Been thinking about stage 1 for a while, might take the jump next year? Still enjoying the car as it is at the moment though.

Stage 1 is the biggest jump and the best value for money tuning stage imo, treat yourself in the spring you'll love it!

i get better fuel mileage with V-Power than Momentum 99, probably not to the same extent as you, but definitely noticable

I used to find that Tesco 99 used to give better mpg but less aggressive whereas V-power is more agressive but less mpg.
