My Candy White
« on: January 24, 2009, 08:56:41 pm »
Hey Peeps,

Iv been reading the forum for quite some time now, i thought it was about time i put some pics up fo my car, its an 05 CW DSG, completely standard at the moment but well will see how long that lasts! Hopefully get bonus in march so will be looking at springs and some new wheels, but seem to be spending more time looking at maps etc!! Slippery slope i hear!!

Iv had it almost two months now after picking it up from Shrewsbury VW after they wouldn't transfer it down to my local VW Bath steelers! Although i was initially annoyed i loved every minute of the 150 mile drive home after picking it up, im so overwhelmed with it every time i drive it i love it more! Even now when i walk up to it or look out at window it still brings a smile to my face!! With out a doubt the best car iv ever had and from going from my 106 Quiksilver to this i realise what all the hype is about and il add to it at every opportunity!

Jus wanted to say DSG is awesome, to the point i don't think il ever buy a manual car again!!

A few of my friends have MK2s which i love and one friend has a mint MK1 which again is good and for its time wud have been crazy! I think were all lucky to have a "real" GTi!! What a car!!

Any how here are some pics, sorry they ain't great i took on mobile

That isnt a mark on the VW badge, not sure how it came out like that!

Cheers guys!!

I wanna get it lowered poss 30mm f&R and get the 18" Monzas, i just love the look of shinny face, poss spray black to set off against the white. Although saying that BBS RSGT are my all time faves but id need a loan to get them!!

Other than that id like to get the front spoiler, skirts and rear bumper coded, but local dealer wont do it for me!! So will look into other dealerships/ body shops.

Then il have to fight the temptation of remaps and all the joys that follow, im a long way off a project like Jonny Cs!!

Plus i dont really get all the mods so apologies in advance for stupid questions!!

How much if you dont mind me asking? I wouldnt mind driving that far if they can do it to a high standard and the money is good!!

Nice car. Defo needs bigger rims.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Oh dear...Shrewsbury would....sorry...I enquired about this with them before I bought my Edition 30 from them. IIRC it was about £750 to get those bits colour coded. There body shop is very good. :happy2:
Cheers,

Wayne
