I've been in a 'claimed' 400bhp RS and I have to say it was savage!! My bum dyno told me it was quicker than my ST2+ Eddy.......  :popcornsoda:

400bhp RS… that would cane a stage 1 RS3 wouldn’t it? I think the Focus RS has a 100kg weight advantage over the RS3.
Looks like Revo also do a Stage 4+ for the Focus RS which gives 425bhp. This is still on the original turbo as well.  Now I can imagine that absolutely wiping the floor with any stg2+ eddy.

Has anyone actually been up against a 350+ bhp Focus RS in their 2+ eddy?

I think it would be the other way round buddy, a Stage 1 RS3 will do 0-60 in 3.6 with LC, that's just with a simple map, no sticky tyres, lighter wheels, suspension mods etc etc..I doubt very much a Focus RS can compete with that no matter how much money it has had thrown at it. When rolling there would be nothing in it, the S-Tronic gearbox in the RS3 makes a big difference....

I really like these, and they sound awesome in standard form:

What puts me off is the gash interior (apart from the Recaros) and the depreciation

I almost bought an Rs in green mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i drove it and gave it a good drive on roads i know well, after coming from a 172cup it felt a bit tame tbh. I then drove my brothers mk5 gti with 300 bhp and it felt alive it was awsome, by the time i bought it its back down to stage 1 but i decided not to stretch myslef as much due to a new house purchase.  I do absolutley love the RS though but as standard it needs more power for me, if i had 20k for a car i would definatly have one i love them

This MP350 was unbelievable Rob. I'm VW though, through and through, so I'm going to try and get mine as close to this leve lof performance as possible. Was your brother's on Stage 2 plus before you bought it?

yeah it was stage 2 plus, he had 2 seperate rolling roads done, one at 295 i think and one at 312 or there abouts anyway

Last year when I went to Spa there were a few Focus RS's, one in green and one in white, neither were as fast as I thought and both were tuned to what I believe was 385bhp (said it on the side decals) overtook both of them on the straights too. :driver:
Golf R gone.

I can put this to bed now. I just saw a Focus RS next to a Golf R.

It was like seeing Jordan next to Sienna Miller.

An MG ZT-T 260. Painful to own, and you're stuck with it for life.

The RS is an awsome car i just got rid of mine, it was running a massive spec, put the power down and drove better than any other car ive driven in my time, im new to VW scene but the person to speak to is my pal PETE owner of Demon performance centre ex head Technition at awsome GTI, he will give you the answers to the questions others cant answer and his work is outstanding.

I just sold my 350bhp mk1 rs few months back.what a car.the acceleration was crazy from 2nd through 4th gear.would love the new one as even for front wheel drive it handles great and 400+horses is easily acheiveable.too much cash tho for some little scrote to run a key down it.

+1 were you on RSOC?  :happy2:
