Frozen Washer pipes (email from dealer)

Has anyone else recived this email, Is there anything that i should be doing or asking?

Frost and windscreen washer repairs under warranty. With the latest fan jet washer spray technology it is vital to insure adequate protection against frost. The consequence of using windscreen washers when the jets or pipes are frozen is that the pressure generated by the pump can force the pipejoints apart.
This can lead to damage to headlining and trims, it can also damage the vehicles electrics leading to problems with alarms and central locking.

 Volkswagen recommend the use of their own additive G 052 164 A2. This is available from all Volkswagen retailers parts departments. To provide the correct protection it is recommended that in winter conditions water to additive mix should be a minimum of 2:1 or stronger in extreme conditions.

Please refer to instructions for use issued with your chosen additive. It is important to note that the terms of the Volkswagen Warranty will not allow for a repair, where problems have arisen as a result of inadequate protection.

I have had no more information than the email they have sent to me? presume it is all VW's that use the "jet washer spray technology"?

I think this is already well known. If the washer jets block up and you've not been using VW screenwash, they won't honour the warranty.

If I have read that email right theyre basically just trying to sell you theyre Winter screenwash additive

But saying that the washer nozzles are quite sensitive to the screen wash that goes through them and have a tendency to block if an incorrect type is used.
