« on: November 17, 2011, 09:35:00 am »
Does anyone know if you can get these? i mean the one in the middle of the airbag, mines a bit scratched .
Also can you get the inserts which are originally black besides the airbag in the same brushed aluminium effect as the gti badge at the bottom of the wheel?

Inserts can be bought on ebay and other places that sell aftermarket products. Ditto for SW logo.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Your dealer will only supply an airbag cover, not a badge on it's own. As I found out when the local numpty scratched the badge on mine. They had to replace the complete airbag cover

I've no idea, mate. After I shouted at the service manager, they got one in & fitted it pronto, and no charge was made

BUMP

Just thought I would share this.  I like other had a scratched centre badge in the middle of my steering wheel (caused by the previous owner's wedding ring!) and it used to annoy me each time I got in the car  :fighting:

I managed to find one on US eBay which was reasonably OEM looking and am pleased with the result:
