What an immense day, all i can say is that those that didnt attend, you missed a great arranged day. Big thanks to SteveP and Nathan for arranging it , except the weather which was crap.

For me two highlights of the day was sitting on Cocopops and Hedge's rear on the roads round Milton Keynes with my factory bhp  , and also to get the chance of driving the Red Temptress, even though i havent modded to get a free run and scare the living sh1te outa Robin   with our afternoon visit to VWR.

Great day out and lovely to see you all getting out of bed at a reasonable time :signLOL:

I think my earlier post about the RR being a little "generous" has been proven

363bhp and 363lbft sound great, but I think most would agree they were all (apart from Illyun and Rupo's 4WD) on the high side.

Neil definitely needs an APR HPFP :happy2:

Glad Illyun came over too.

Hope some of you enjoyed the ride in my motor too.

Thanks Nath and SteveP...top day....next time book the weather for sunshine
Golf R gone.

Have to say gents, all of whom were much older than me, which made approaching people a little bit intimidating, but never the less your all a proper bunch of blokes and some of the pictures on the forum don't do justice to how good the cars look in person.

So all in all a top day  :happy2:

Many people have said what a cracking day it was and I would have to agree. :happy2:

A big thanks to Superchips, VW Racing and Autoperfection. :drinking:

On a more personal note thanks to MatEd30 for my 'package'. :drinking:

Interesting drive home. Note to self: not all Mk2 Octavias are unmarked Police cars. :embarrassed:

ref outputs guys.  Was everyone running on 99 fuel??

Reason i ask is i was told by a VW tech a couple of years back that vw have to quote the lowest output figures achievable with 95 oct fuel.  He said factory figures were based on this and that running an fsi engine on 98 oct and above fuel will result between 5-10% over vw claims.  I was under the impression that 213-218bhp was what standard gti's output on good fuel.  I've even got old top gear and evo mags with their long termers both rr and both achieved around 215bhp.

My map is claimed to output 250bhp and i ran 251bhp so right on revo claims.  Also ref their claims, surely trading standards would have a field day if they were selling below claim products???

Phil and steve - Loved the dark BBS wheels, look far better than standard IMO

Well what can i say.......

Started the day at 4.30am and met jay, tom and steph at sandbach services at 6am,  :indifferent:

Tom jumped in mine and we arrived at superchips at about 8.15 minus 1 splitter and after some antics in jays car on the toll road

car ran 259 (.9 ) so i won some bubble and 25quids of goodies from autoperfection, RESULT!!!

All in all i had an awesome day with everyone (despite the sh*te weather AGAIN)

Got home at 6.45 because i couldnt go above 65 all the way home  :sad1: my undertray was smashing about!  :sad1:

Like to say a big thanks to SC for putting on a good day, Autoperfection for turning up and for putting on the prize!!! thankyou  :happy2: and to mark from VWR for being such a big help to everyone and for letting me have a play in the THUNDERBUNNY!

Good to see you boys again, I got the power output I expected (267ish), despite topping up with 102ron (more like 102CON!).
Cant believe some of the power you guys are chucking out! really puts our 3.2's to shame!
I take it Hurdy got top power of the day!?

Anyone get any pics?

Hurdy was beaten Rupo by another DSG stage 2 ED30. :happy2:

Top banana went to DomT with 368bhp. Hurdy had 5 ponnies short of that.
