Caz, nice to meet you, what did Mark say was up with it?

Earlier in the post, there have been suggestions the rolling road was over reading by 10-15%, taking that into consideration, your car should be around 135-142bhp...that makes mine a very poorly car at 150-160bhp!  :surprised:

Whatever the results, I'm glad I went.  Not only did it confirm my car wasn't well, but I also met some cool people!  I look forward to the next meet!  :happy2:

snip...

What I found most interesting was the method of driving on the rolling road. Perhaps this is because it was a Maha roller and not a DD ?? But, the operator at Superchips (what was his name?) brought the car to a halt, and then slipped the clutch to get the car into what I assume was 4th or 5th gear? And continued accelerating from there. At JKM they don't let the car get to a halt, and start the run from a rolling point. I must admit, i wasn't too happy with them slipping the clutch in such a high gear..., but then again I'm probably just concerned about nothing.

snip....

seriously ?? wouldnt let them do that on mine tbh. I guess if theres no load on the rollers its not a huge issue. but why not just go through the gears to get to 4th? theyll have to do that on DSG cars anyway didnt they? (as it doesnt let you skip gears)

^^^^ Exactly what I thought! And it's not as if any peak figures are going to be achieved so low that they need to start it from a standstill!

OK all, I did a little bit of filming on Saturday - not a huge amount as the weather was crap. I've just had a chance to dump the footage from my camera onto my mac and have not edited it at all but thought I would get something up on here. Please don't moan about the quality of the edit - it has not been edited, just sequenced.

Robin - the ending was just for you  :happy2:

....That's very good! Superb image quality and particularly nice focussing on car details in the first part. I also was very amused by someone being overheard talking about cleaning - "I'm not someone who cares about detailing".

Great capture of my now famous salute

Nice 1 fingered salute RR.

Shame I couldnt make it, had a really busy day and didnt get to bed until 4am on saturday morning anyway so not sure I would have been awake for the drive. 3am the following night.

Car has developed a really annoying vibrating noise from the engine so really not enjoying driving the thing at the moment

Hopefully they can figure out the problem and also fix my fan this coming Friday. Hope to be able to make the next major meet.

On the plus side I went to Oasis at Heaton Park yesterday and it was absolutely amazing.
