By the way, he's asking for £12,000 which I think looks pretty reasonable considering the only must-have option it lacks is Xenons.

With leather I would start at £11 and go no more than £11.5. Times are hard.

Howay lads, everyone knows the Edition 30 was part leather, part Interlagos cloth.

That's a deal, bordering suspiciously low. I'd say 13.5K on a good day.

I don't think he's too bothered about achieving a top price. He's selling it along with his Exige just to try something different, and sold his Lamborghini Gallardo for a big loss last year.

I'm looking at getting into another GTI, if he's prepared to wait he get that from an enthusiastic buyer, the fact is its traditionally a crap time of year until the end of Jan for second hand values.... And there's not many enthusiastic buyers about

That said 2012 will see the end of the in fairness inflated prices GTI's have enjoyed for 18 months or more, Ed30 prices will normalise in exactly the same way Mk3/Mk4 anni prices did when the next best thing came along...it's just history repeating itself.

There'll be Ed35's on the road, traders will see them and the Ed30 will be relegated to a Nicer GTI category which will be a shame.

So he'll sell it if he's not in a hurry and flexible, but the smart money would not be putting a huge premium into an eddy right now as you'll not only be paying " normal" GTI depreciation but also eroding that premium as well.... a double whammy

GTI's are sub £5k now for a nice high miler, greeners will confirm.

It's fair to say we live in a bit of a bubble on here, motor trade takes no prisoners and some of the money on here being asked for 6-8 year old cars will buy you a lot of BMW at the auction

I paid £10800 almost 2 months ago from a trader - can't belive the price drop, though a special edition would hold its value a bit better  :sad1:

I think £12k is very good value, considering the mileage, spec and warranty. It should sail away at that price.

Seems very reasonable to me.  If it was mine I would be asking for a bit more.
