Trenchy's new GTI
« on: December 22, 2011, 09:08:40 pm »
so this is my new baby.....

Initially i swapped a charged mk2 plus some cash for the 200bhp red rocket.....

but ended up buying the charged mk2 back as i missed the rawness of it, plus i'd ploughed a lot o dollar into it....

so heres the cars

MK2

what do ya think??

I do love the Mk 2's, my favourite GTi shape. Always wanted one, never got around to it. Digging the colour on the 5, what colour is that?

Love the Mk2  :happy2:

I used to have a G60 years ago and loved it, LHD was a bit of a pain at times, `twas one of the few cars I wish I`d never sold

My G60 is a conversion so I get the advantage of sitting on the right side of the road but still get the power :happy2:

Cheers Snoopy

I think it's good mixing classic and modern motors on the drive, although the Mrs has a different view  :stupid:

Excellent cars

Cheers bud. Liking yours too.....
How was it with the upgraded speakers? I'm getting the rns530 fitted for Xmas and fancy a speaker upgrade too.
Will an upgrade help with bass or am I ultimately gonna need a sub for decent bass?
I prefer quality sound to banging bass

Any idea's???? :drinking:

It will give it better bass with the mods you have planned, but you can fit a small sub in the boot and still use your boot

Mate, you've got my two favourite cars I've ever owned! I did over 100,000 miles in my Mk2 16V

[img][/img]

And my current Dub is a Mk5 3 dr in Shadow Blue.

Like everyone else who's had a long relationship with a mk2, I wish I'd kept mine. You've done the right thing to buy yours back. You'd have regretted it if you hadn't, like the rest of us!

 :happy2:

Fun Golf: 2016 mk7 R DSG 3 door. Work Golf: 2015 mk7 1.4 TSI GT ACT 5 door.
Gone but not forgotten : mk2 Golf GTI 16v, mk4 Golf V6 4Motion, mk5 GTI Storm Developments Stage 1, mk5 GTI Revo Stage 1, BMW 330ci, Skoda Octavia VRS Revo Stage 2, BMW Z4 Sdrive35i.

By the way, I love the oak green colour, and those alloys. (were those off a G60 Corrado?)

Only change I'd make is to get a GTi badge on the grill!

yeah i know i'd have regretted it......

the wheels are from the G60 Corrado and the Golf Rallye..
i figured as i had the G60 engine in the car i'd go for the wheels but leave the rest stock.

I was tempted to go for small bumpers too.... i like the look of small bumpered cars.
I bought a white small bumpered 8v gti for £300, no mot or tax..... was mint, and thought i'd use it for the conversion. but i got it MOT'd and it flew through!!!
so sold it and made a bit o profit to spend on the charger lol.....

loving how different the two cars are......
