I wondered when they would start putting them in, basically them 2 plugs are for the pass through for the mic, if you have the RNS510 and voice control then the mic has to go into the rns510 then back out and down to the BT controller, on the RCD510 it is not capable of voice control so you just connect them connectors and it bypasses the mic straight to the BT controller.

Darren

PS they didn't use to do that so you had to mess about taking the pins out and connecting them together.

Sorry Darren you lost me there I thought the loom was just plug and play no extra wiring involved.

Could you explain.

Sorry Lee, basically that loom is provisioned for every thing, no extra wiring needed, but if your putting bluetooth in with RCD510 then you connect that A and B connector together if your putting bluetooth in with RNS510 then you leave them unconnected.

Many thanks Darren :happy2: I knew you would come to the rescue again, after reading several posts on this subject I came to the conclusion that pins 1&7plugs into the rns and pins 4&9 goes to bluetooth module pins.
Shame no instructions whatsoever came with the loom,I had emailed the company but their responses were half attempts that were no help, but credit to them for fast delivery beating the other parts (module, mic still waiting) that are uk based!
