MPS:
Them wheels look like Monty II's off a mk4 GTI!! Does look nice though

Snoopy:
Its a shame we only get the full leather and not the half leather in the uk.

i've had a drive in one of these as a friend of mine had one for a week as a demonstrator, the park assist was very impressive but tbh the car its self felt a bit to big and was a bit of a let down, it made all the right noises but thats about it. I think the whole design looks gorgeous but i do agree with the "monty look" wheels.

For example I got a "special offer" through from VW yesterday advertising their stock of the Golf 2.0TDI Match 5dr, at £22k each. So a fairly basic spec diesel Golf for £8k less than an Edition 35. As far as I'm concerned it's inline with the pricing of other models, and as many have pointed out, the additional standard equipment on an Edition 35 is worth more than the premium it costs over a standard GTI.

this is exactly what im saying the ed 35 has not much over the 2.0tdi match , slightly different seat , petrol engine and 15 mm shorter springs , thats about it any thing that makes it a performance car is nt there , brakes , traction aid (lsd), decent seats , suspension set up etc etc it wont even be limited no s  if the ed30 was anything to go by

andrewparker:
But I think everyone knows the GTI isn't a wholly performance orientated car. It's objective is to be every car you ever need, something I think it fulfills pretty well.
