Shell V Power. Like!
« on: December 24, 2011, 05:52:24 pm »
Running my first tank of V Power, and I can feel a difference in acceleration.

This might be psychological, but it feels quicker. Anyone else feel the same?

I notice zero difference when I use Shell V Power or Shell ordinary, however the computer shows a minor change in MPG (minor being 0.2-0.3mpg)

When i first got my ED30 i used several tanks of v-power. When i was running low 1 morning with no shell stations nearby i stuck in £30 of Asdas offering and within a couple of miles the computer showed the mpg had dropped by 2mpg  :surprised:

I went back to v power on the next fill up and the mpg went back up.
Today i stuck in £40 worth (1/2 tank) of Tesco momentum to see how that does (station is closer than shell)

I've run a mix of 99ron vs 95ron for the last few months (due to availability of 99) and I can report that what i have for breakfast affects the mpg more than the fuel in the tank.  Slight change in performance is noticeable though when pressing on.

Date            Lts     Miles    Real MPG      Cost     Cost /l
30/09/2011   39.81   319.8   36.5   £52.51   £1.319   95 RON
