Which splitter?
« on: December 21, 2011, 10:46:16 pm »
Unfortunately I am in the market for a new splitter. As my ed30 one is now beyond repair :(
I can get a ed30 one for around the £220 mark but then will need painting so is going to cost me in the region of 350.
Have seen a cheaper ed30 look one on eBay but appears to have no flat underside. And have also seen a carbon one for £160 (+£60p&p) which will obviously not need painting.

Car is standard apart from the grill mods. Any thoughts or ideas much appreciated cos I need to get something on the front of the car soon!

Cheers
Cal

Would I be right in thinking the vortex is an ed30 splitter.but just has a slot for airflow and two suporting pillars?

Or does it have different proportions?

Votex, not Vortex.

Yes, it looks quite similar. But it's a bit wider and deeper + three open vent slots.

Quality and fitment are exceptional, no work needed before painting.

In those pics it looks just like an Ed30 apart from some minor details. But is £20 more expensive. Looks like I'm going to order a ed30 one tomorrow.

Cheers for the other option though.

For the extra £20 I'd choose the Votex one..

Better looks !!

A friend owns an ED30, so I often have a look on both side by side.

I saw that couldn't tell if it was genuine. Doesn't look like its got the flat underside. Ordered one today going to collect tomorrow now. Cheers anyway.
