Break in
« on: December 27, 2011, 02:12:09 pm »
Just a heads up for everyone to be careful. At my mums for Christmas, woke up to my mum screaming and crying, the house had been broken into, my mums car and mobile and bag had been nicked. Contents of her bag were all tipped out beside my car on the drive. They nicked her car as they couldn't find my keys. Nothing else taken even though laptop and iPad and other easy to take stuff was in the front room.

Police came and they seemed to think they were after my car, they got finger prints off the front door.

Not a nice thing to happen but could have been slot worse I suppose, be careful boys n girls

Feel sorry for you, not nice at all when someone else has been in your house. There are some scum bags around  :fighting: . On the plus side at least you are all safe.
Bye Bye Edition 30.

Terrible that these xxxxxx prey at Christmas and are brazen enough to come into your home when they are probably aware there is a house full of people asleep...

I had a mk2 Golf nicked a few years ago by them breaking in and getting the keys at nightime - horrible thought.

Easy bro and hope your Ma is ok

This is becoming a worrying theme reading threads like this.
It's absolutely appalling, the sick barstewardss should be locked up for a very long time.

Do many people have CCTV? Thinking of getting it set up.

Sorry to hear this but glad to hear everyone is okay. I was already concerned as thieves will hit that time of year when people might be more lax about security, have lots of presents including electronic goodies etc.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Sorry to hear this, it's bad at this time of year for it, we fit CCTV and external alarm systems, Prior to Christmas we had 11 to do they were all from the houses being broke into and the cars being taken... One of them they loaded stuff into the Range Rover before taking it........ Get an external alarm system at least they are a better deterrent but if you can stretch have both fitted it works out at about £3k fitted for both.....

This is becoming a lot more common. Wasters get away with it. The best thing that could happen to them is stuff the car into a well and burn alive.
That's justice.
Then some do gooder would try and claim from you for something.
