MK2 TT arms, are ball joints better on top or bottom?
« on: December 28, 2011, 09:55:25 pm »
I've got some MK2 TT arms and ball joints on my car and the arms seem to be pointing up a fair bit because the ball joints are bolted on the bottom as they should be.
I want to try and level the arms a bit by putting the ball joints on top of the arms. I know there is no knurled surface on the bottom of the ball joint so I am thinking of getting an engineering company to knurl this so when bolted together there is no chance of it moving/slipping

Has anyone run the ball joints on both sides and actually noticed any difference in handling between the two positions?
I’d like to know if it’s worth doing it.

Thanks

They will work fine either way round.  Get some tt hubs as they will drop the ball joint mount down about 5cm.

Thanks :happy2:  I'll probably leave it then.
Are the TT hubs a straight swap like the S3 hubs and do they widen the track even more?
