questions about dsg

Just wondering if dsg models have paddle shift as standard & how many modes it's got eg sport,sport+,economy!!

Think the realy early cars did not have paddles as standard, but most of them have paddles on the steering wheel. I have never come across one without paddles though.

Correct, the early 05's did not have them unless a multi function steering wheel was selected. Became standard from mid 2005.

See above. If it didn't blip the throttle and match the revs it would be horrendous to drive.

If you've ever heard a Lambo or similar downshifting, you might be disappointed by the VW DSG system.  It revs up to the level needed by the next lowest gear and no more.  The lairier systems give it more of a blip.  It's not a criticism, though, the VW is very smooth, economical and good fun!


Shadow blue DSG 5 door with leather, sunroof, 18" Monzas, MFSW. 
Full list of mods:  Seat inserts and a VW bottle opener.  Each worth 20bhp.
