Separate Ebay thread within the Sale section?
« on: April 15, 2009, 06:54:45 pm »
Was thinking with the amount of links to Ebay in the sale thread, it might be worth having a pinned thread in the Sale section?

At least people would know it was an Ebay item straight away.  :happy2:

Or maybe the ebay logo within the thread title?
Or just [ebay] before each title so:

[ebay]ED30 turbo for sale on fleabay

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Well TBH honest I would prefer random Ebay for sale ads aren't posted in the For Sale section.

If you see something of interest like an ebay auction or special deal from a suppliers they maybe we could have a sub/child board for these things ??

Having been on other forums where eBay linking has been banned, I find it really annoying coming on here to find that all the auctions I've been watching for days have been linked up on here a few hours before the end.  The other forums argument is that its free advertising that clutters up the board.  When you use "show unread posts" it does, if you're not looking for something you don't want to see pages of ads.  They also added the posts drive up the server costs, and on a free forum, noone likes that.

We all know how to search, why is it necessary?

My point was IF we have to have links to Ebay, can they be in one place. I personal would rather there were none.
