FK coilover HELP!!
« on: December 29, 2011, 02:45:37 pm »
Hi guys/gals,

Im running FK AK street coilovers in my mk5 GTi. Ive noticed theres a rattling/knocking noise coming from the rear of the car. I brought it a my VW mechanic and he has said about putting the standard GTi shocks back in rather than the FK shock. Can anyone give any advice on this problem so i can try and get it sorted? Obviously the mechanic knows what he is talking about but just incase anyone else has had the same problem, and could give a few pointers.  :happy2: :happy2:

Thanks Stuart

Have you ever replaced the console bushes? Could be that. Fella in the midlands is selling em for £27.95 a pop. Big saving on the stealer prices. Ask for Frank... Nice fella. I bout some on Wednesday. Item number 350432119392.

I have my mechanic coming round tomorrow to have a look and make sure everything is tight and proper.. If it is il try the OEM shock 1st as i dont want to spend £40-£50 and it not be the bushings. Thanks for the help anyway mate. Il keep you informed tomorrow if i get it sorted  :happy2: :happy2:
