EVAP emssion control sys - Vagcom scan

EVAP emssion control sys, p0441 - 002 - Incorrect flow - Intermittent

This is what came up on vagcom the other day, but i have no idea what this is and what to do, Also does anyone know if this fault would cause my car to run bad or increase fuel consumption?
