looks nice! very well done over the standard look of the car.

just showed my mum who is thinking of getting one and she liked it! haha though im trying to pursuade her into an Audi TT or a BMW 1series conv. But hey, pics like these can't hurt the VW cause can they!  :happy2:

As a side note looking at the colour, I wish you could buy cars in a matt finish. Matt black is such a badass colour! haha

I've never seen a modded EOS before! I like!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

cheers guys

as far as i know it was one of the first modded EOS's in the UK at the time, there was alot less choice of parts and kits that there is now.  I don't think i would do alot different to what i did do as it's a really nice car now, but in standard form these cars just look dull without a little styling help

Still makes me laugh sometimes that alot of people have never heard of an EOS let alone seen one

tbh, once i got the proper trim removal tools and asked everybody every question i could think of...yes  :ashamed:

trim pries off, undid 4 torx screws, slid stereo out

there was 1 big plug and 2 ariel connectors, pulled them off

the RNS510 went back in in the same way, except the 2 ariels didnt fit side by side anymore, but have since learnt that you can take the plastic off of them and they will - i just plugged the fm one back in by itself.

the gps arial was just another plug and then fed the reciever block up into the dash area.

done.

i really mean it when I say if I can do it anyone can

and a big thankyou to those that nursed me through it  :notworthy:

Looks to be similar to the Octavia dash.
I reckon with a tail wind you could have the unit out in 2 minutes unlike the Golf which is a wee bit more involved.
