Which PCV fix?
«
on:

Hi all,
One of the first things I want to do to my Edition 30 prior to Revo Stage 1 is to fix the PCV before it develops a fault. I've seen various suggestions such as BSH, Forge and the OEM "G" Version. I would prefer a fix similar to the BSH and Forge where a catch tank is involved.
Which is the best fix?
Thanks

If you have the cash go with Forge...

Ive had the bsh revamp fix and currently have the bsh catch can. I have not had any issues with poor mpg with either and I am Shark stage 2 at the moment. The throttle response improved slightly with both but I havent experienced any negatives from either product.

Those are the only two that allow you to use the catchcan with the charcoal cannister in situ.

I still can't decide between:
BSH PCV Fix
http://www.bshspeedshop.com/bshstore/products/BSH-2.0T-FSI-PCV-Revamp.html
BSH Street Catch Can
http://www.bshspeedshop.com/bshstore/products/BSH-%252d-VW-FSI-Street-Catch-Can-.html
BSH Compeition Catch Can
http://www.bshspeedshop.com/bshstore/products/BSH-%252d-FSI-Competition-Catch-Can-.html
Forge Catch Can
http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=260309&product=FMMK5CTC
Ideally it would be the forge, but I can't justify £340!

I would just change it for the latest revision of OEM PCV

That is an option, but I'd much prefer to route the oil vapour to a can rather than let it combust

I'm attending the Autsport show next weekend and noticed Forge are going to have a stand there, so I called them earlier and they quoted me a show price that has tempted me enough to bite the bullet :)
