55reg Mk5 golf water in passenger footwell

Went out in the car tonight an my other half noticed water on the passenger floor an I mean when you press down on the carpet it's like a puddle not been able to have a look tonight with it being late/ dark just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them

Props find its coming out of the pollen filter area under the dash,,under the bonnet where the wipes motor is the drain holes will be blocked

are they oblivious to see these holes as I have had alook but not to sure what am looking for also are they to the left right of the car or in the middle and does the plastic scuttle need removing for access

as far as i remember they are in each corner--the panel has to come of
