You get what you pay for but i would personally lean towards APR for the map and Miltek for the zorsticles

and cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery is more than happy to do you a sig as you are now and another when you mod

I would recommend you do things in following order if you're looking for increase in power.

1. Brakes
2. Remap
3. Intake + Exhaust (Milltek is one most go for)
4. Clutch (budget for one)
5. Cosmetic stuff if you must.

Remap / Chipping is same kinda thing really, except most companies now Remap via OBDII port rather than "chip" a ECU (taking it out, soldering new chip onto the ECU)

Options...loads out there. Revo / APR / Superchips / Custom Code / Chipped UK / R Tech / GIAC / AmD / APS list goes on!

Most are similar really, some you get to play with settings yourself, can turn it back to standard performance etc.

Some are cheaper than others. Some are more renowned than others.

cheers for that WhiteGTi.. any help input is useful, as I know nothing really.lol (i may work in service department, but its still all new.lol) I know at the end of the day its your own choice with companies etc on where you get things done, but there doesnt seem to be one paticular company that everyone agrees on..

Top Cat - good plan.. i will contact cherry or cheery and get him on with it.. (and ask him in a week to change it.lol bless.)  :chicken:

chungster:
Caz, where are you based in the UK???

If you're down sarf....go to JKM!!

Caz:
Im afraid I am  a northern bird.. in the sticks to be exact.. have to travel a hour to get anywhere decent (decent being dare i say it.. Hull, or 'Ull, if you live there...)  :ashamed: :chicken:

Think Ill go remapping first..ive jst been hesitant, as Im basicaly jst playing with this car for another 2 years, then changing... and also, ive been told that if you remap, you can loose vw settings and if put on diagnostics it may not show up your ecu... spoke to techies at work and they said chipped/mapped cars weve had in theyve read fine.. but jst was unsure..

Mr Cheery, as your no known, thanks.. i'll let you know  :happy2:
