CCM swap problem
« on: September 07, 2011, 08:24:25 pm »
Changed my CCM from an AJ to BT module and everything is fine apart from the remote fobs don't work now. I've put the old module in and all is fine again.

I got it from eBay Germany as a used item - does anyone know if the radio frequency of a German fob is different to a UK spec one?

Thanks
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

I may quickly be corrected but dont you have to re - pair the fob to the car?  Read a section on it on the Ross Tech help / guides

I've followed a re-sync process to no avail (open door with key, press unlock, ignition on, ignition off, press button).

you will need to adapt the remotes to the BT ccm, if the BT is new check adaption 19 to see if it is factory mode

use Adaption Channel 000 to clear old remotes
the use Channel 001 and remember to test and save. enter the number of remotes to be matched 2remotes = 2
get out of the car to try them

Thanks Eddie, will try it in the morning.

I didn't need the new CCM after all, my siren has packed in again and was the cause of my alarm going off.

Can anyone help with a slightly different issue?

Got an Altea for my mrs, only came with one remote so I got the same remote second hand (fob ending G, same as the one we got with it), the car also has the BT module and I put a new battery in the fob so the LED comes up.

I've tried the syncing process but it doesn't recognise the second remote (clearing, going from 1 to 2 then test).

Any ideas?

EDIT: Ignore this, got it sorted after a blonde moment!
