« on: April 18, 2009, 11:09:45 pm »
hi guys im thinking of gettin a sub soon and some uprated speakers, id like to keep my mfd2 so have a few Q`s for ya all

1.best place to get the lead so the mfd2 can run the amp?  any consequences of this? ie. loss of any functions etc
2.recommend me a good active sub?
3.will i need to use the cross over box that comes with the new speakers or will the standard wires do?

cheers guys and sorry if the Q`s seem dumb  :happy2:

Have a look at this device, it will do all of the amp stuff for you - http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=3956.0

I have wired an amp using an high to low output device?? I have currently got a stock headunit and speakers and have wired in a DLS A6 amp running a JLaudio 13w7 sub.
For me this works perfectly because I run no bass from the speakers just from the sub.
Hope this helps. P.S let me know if you need to know where the device was from as I cannot remember.
