Recently joined up, I'm GolfGirl's other half so get to drive her Edition 30 if I'm a good boy or she's 'tired'
My transport is an old mk2 Golf...
This is copy+paste from another forum... you get the gist hopefully.
I've had this old mk2 Golf GTI 16v for 7 years, was a 1.8 then 2 litre 16v had a few engines over the years, changed plans completely and with the kind help of some good friends, fitted a VR6 in '06

I remember you buying this MK2 back in the day, I was a fresh faced Polo owner on the Club GTI forums!

, I love the MKII's got one myself, how do you find the VR6, its something I am thinking about for my engine transplant but the weight concerns me.I get mine back tomorrow as its been in for welding work and getting seat frames put in for the MKV seat transplant
Also who do you use for your insurance.

i,m already looking for mk1 or 2 as a project for me and my 15yr old to start.
have never been into doing the cars myself but i think i,m gonna start this year.

hey gary vw are just doing my cam belt now unedr warrenty. when i went in a few weeks ago they said no deffo not the cam belt i told em a freind said it could be but they rulled it out saying its either aircon compressor or alternator. so second day now had a phone call saying its the cam belt!! cross fingers it wont take too long! cheers for the help mate.
