Hey if you have an accident or car gets stolen your insurance will pay you enough money to get another car the same (after a bit of too and fro) but you wont lose out.


Sadly this is far from the case in most total loss claims,, made even worse if you have paid top end pricing for the 'right' car, you will most likely not get back your full purchase price from the insurance company and face a shortfall to buy a car of the same calibre/price again...

GAP isnt about getting "what its worth now", its about getting back the full invoice amount what you paid when you got the keys.

IMO, its a no brainer for a new car purchase. My dad crashed his old C5 A6, a month or so later he bought a new C6 A6... he got GAP on his A5 as well.  :happy2:

price of gap will depend on the cost of the car.  discount on GAP will depend on how much money they make on the car you have just purchased.

Can be had online for a lot less money, i don't know if the cover is the same, but its your choice. £350 for 3 years return to invoice cover sounds good to me.  that sort of price should cover a £10k difference.

I've never paid more than £110 for 3 years RTI with £10K claim limit, cost price plus £10 so the dealer doesnt get moaned at  :happy2:
