Gear shifter...

Hi all

Just wondering if anybody knew whether or not the actual gear shifter was the same between the 5 speed mk5 golfs and 6 speed mk5's....

i'm only talking about the shifter end/shifter and the cables NOT the actual gearshift lever/selectors that are on the actual gearbox...

want to replace my worn ones that have done 150,000 miles and theres a cheap set that have only done 30,000 miles but they're for a 5 speed!

5 speed is quite a bit different to the 6 speed.
