I had that when I had a revo map on. my cure was to take revo off.
If it has a revo map, they do another map which gets rid of this fault

I had superchips map on, no error, had revo loaded onto the car, got the errror.  I was advised to change the hpfp, maf sensor etc etc
got a refund from revo, no error code with stock map. pdtuning remap, shark performance remap.
If you phone revo directly, they;ll tell you it comes up with that same fault with a few cars, mostly s3's they told me.
There were about half a dozen people at gti international that had revo loaded onto the car that had exactly the same fault code appear aswell.
This was teh fauklt code I had
008584 - Bank 1; System too Rich at Idle
               P2188 - 008 - Implausible Signal
             Freeze Frame:
                    Fault Status: 01101000
                    Fault Priority: 0
                    Fault Frequency: 1
                    Mileage: 58707 km
                    Time Indication: 0
                    Date: 2000.00.00
                    Time: 14:31:05

             Freeze Frame:
                    RPM: 814 /min
                    Load: 30.2 %
                    Speed: 10.0 km/h
                    Temperature: 68.0°C
                    Temperature: 29.0°C
                    Absolute Pres.: 980.0 mbar

Yes, I would say so. You might just get fobbed off.
Use the search button, I know for sure Mandy on here had the same problem after gti international

IMHO your going about this the wrong way, yes it could be map related but highly unlikely, just get the car scanned with VCDS or even a basic fault code reader and they you will know what you are dealing with  :happy2:

Didnt realise it was off July mate :signLOL:
Either way, thats what customer service is for  :happy2:
Check the mileage on the error code, it could have been off when the map was loaded on, you never know

Sounds like the same fault I had. Mine was overfuelling on idle. It had been flashed with the wrong map. Took mine to revo HQ and was sorted out by Carl. Have a read through my build thread, it's all on there I think.

Are you getting a EML light on the dash board?
